Welcome to Maison du Fromage — a little taste of France with a distinctly local heart.
We bring together an exceptional selection of French and European cheeses alongside carefully chosen cheeses, butter, and specialty products from local and American artisans. From perfectly aged fromage and rich, cultured butter to beautiful accompaniments and thoughtfully selected wines, every product is chosen for its quality, character, and story.
Whether you’re joining us for a glass of wine and a beautifully crafted cheese board, picking up something special for your table, or simply discovering a new favorite, Maison du Fromage is a place to slow down, savor, and enjoy the art of good food.
Bien manger. Bien boire. Bien vivre.
Notre Histoire
Maison du Fromage began long before it had a name.
Alain was born and raised in France and built his career in the kitchens of Paris, working as an Executive Chef and developing the deep respect for ingredients, craftsmanship, and hospitality that comes from more than thirty-five years in the culinary world.
Tracy grew up in South Florida and followed her own love of food to The Art Institute of Atlanta, where she studied culinary arts with a particular passion for pastry. Their paths eventually crossed while working at the Four Seasons in Atlanta — and food was only the beginning of their story.
Tracy later moved to France, where she opened her own catering company, creating food for clients ranging from international embassies to The Gap on the Champs-Élysées, while she and Alain built a life together surrounded by the markets, cafés, fromageries, and everyday rituals of French food culture.
After eleven years in France, they returned to the United States, bringing those experiences — and a decidedly French appreciation for taking good food seriously without taking it too seriously — with them.
Maison du Fromage is the culmination of that life together: an artisanal cheese shop, wine bar, and artisan market inspired by the places they love and the way they believe food should be enjoyed.
Here you’ll find exceptional French cheeses alongside carefully selected American and local favorites, beautiful wines, artisan market provisions, and simple dishes made with ingredients they genuinely love.
The philosophy is uncomplicated:
We only sell what we would happily eat standing up in the kitchen.
Bienvenue à Maison du Fromage.
